Test Valley Community Apprenticeship Challenge
A community challenge is being laid down to businesses in Test Valley to create 111 new Apprenticeship places in 2011. The business case for employing apprentices is a strong one:
A skilled workforce is now needed more than ever to aid economic recovery
Investing in training is investing in the future of your business
Trained apprentices bring increased productivity
Apprentices help tackle the issues of an ageing workforce
The local community benefits from:
Supporting local young people
Giving school leavers their first step on to the jobs ladder
Improving the local economy through increased productivity
The challenge is organised by the National Apprenticeship Service and supported by; Totton College, Test Valley Borough Council, Andover Advertiser, Romsey Advertiser, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce, Andover Industrial Mission, Hampshire County Council, Solent EBP, Sparsholt College with Andover College Campus and First Partnership.
